Our Mission
Our mission is to provide safe, affordable, and fun activities that encourage families to spend quality time together while enriching their lives and broadening their horizons.
Since organizing its first special event in 2016, JustOne Foundation has planned and co-sponsored dozens of events, activities and service projects to bring families living in Greensboro, North Carolina, together for fellowship and fun.
Established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2017 by east Greensboro native Justin Washington, the foundation offers a diverse and innovative mix of programs that encourage families to venture out of their houses, meet their neighbors, and enjoy safe, wholesome entertainment at affordable prices.

Since our first Easter egg hunt in 2016, we’ve organized dozens of family-friendly events on the east side of Greensboro, including two more Easter egg hunts, pro wrestling matches, custom car shows, a couple of engineering camps for kids, and a community fair for non-profits.
We also sponsor a community garden and a kids’ baseball team, plus we help maintain the veterans’ section of Maplewood Cemetery.
If it sounds like we have a lot of diverse things going on, I say, “Yes! We do!” The common denominator is that each program and event supports our mission.
JustOne Foundation is here to provide safe, affordable, and fun activities that encourage families to spend quality time together. Bigger picture, we hope we’re enriching lives and broadening horizons in the process.
We don’t know of any other individuals or organizations around here supporting families living on the east side of Greensboro in just this way.
Our idea is to start by getting families out of their houses, showing them a good time, and giving them a chance to get to know their neighbors and the resources available in their community. Longer-term, we hope to introduce them to other parts of the city and introduce people living in other parts of Greensboro.
As for results, we’re seeing more and more families coming out and having fun together so far. We’re seeing neighbors interacting and becoming friends. We’re exposing kids and their parents to hands-on, real-world experiences they wouldn’t have sitting around the house glued to a screen.
Most important to me; anyway, we see smiles! Lots and lots of smiles! People are having fun!
And our growing headcounts at events—including repeat customers—tell us the word is getting around. We’re bringing this community and the families within it together, and they’re having fun. It’s working!
As a Navy veteran, I can tell you a course correction of just a degree or two early in the voyage can make a huge difference in where the ship ends up. Our hope is these events will, maybe just in small ways here and there, end up making a big difference in the lives of the people we serve. We think that’s good for them and good for the city of Greensboro.
Thank you for your interest in the JustOne Foundation.
