Under the supervision of Board Member Lenora Lee, JustOne Foundation manages and maintains the Maywood Community Garden on Maywood Street, one of a number of community gardens overseen by the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department. The garden’s raised beds, within a quarter-acre fenced enclosure, are used to grow vegetables from March through November. Neighborhood residents enjoy planting and tending the garden and gathering at harvest time. A team from Psychotherapeutic Services, Inc., also volunteers to work in the garden one day a week. Produce is donated to Greensboro Urban Ministry.
