JustOne Foundation has awarded a scholarship to Morgan Carson, a student enrolled in Johnson & Wales University’s Culinary Arts program and the first signee of the university’s Wildcat Women’s Golf Program. She is an A/B Honor Roll student and has already achieved the Culinary Arts and Hospitality ll Certificate of Excellence at Johnson & Wales.
Daughter of Regina and Tyler Carson, Morgan was a four-year member of the golf team at Dudley High School in Greensboro and played in the JustOne Foundation’s first annual golf tournament.
At Dudley, she qualified for the 2018 and 2019 3A NCHSAA Women’s Central Regional Golf Tournament. Carson was a member of the Piedmont Triad 3-A All-Conference team in 2019 and was named Conference Player of the Year. She was also recognized as an Academic All-Conference honoree.
“We know Carson as an outstanding golfer who carried her team in our first tournament,” said Justin Washington, Executive Director of the JustOne Foundation. “We also know she has some ambitious plans for a career in culinary arts. Our board wishes her well in her studies and decided to award her a modest scholarship to help her out with some of her expenses.”
Future scholarships will be awarded as the foundation board becomes aware of college students who would benefit.
